I have an LG VX 5600 cell phone. I also have a USB download cable and have installed the 5600 driver to my PC. However, I cannot find anywhere instructions on how to download pictures to my PC. There is no icon to hit to start the process. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks.
That's cool. I thought you incurred data charges to upload pics. If not, then that's the only alternative to texting images to your email account for phones without memory cards.
I used to use BitPim for my phones, but lately they just aren't keeping up with supporting the newer phones, and I think the projet is petering out.
So, the short of it is that I cannot download or send my phone camera pix?
Well, no. The best thing to try would be to download the latest copy of Bitpim and install it. You should be able to use it to access the phone via the cable and move stuff that way. As stated in an earlier post, try to connect forcing Bitpim to use the VX-9100 profile in its database.
Doesn’t work. Will not download phone pix. Thanks, anyway.
Then you also missed that his question was about an LG phone, not an Apple, right? How will buying an Apple phone help him get his photos off his LG phone?
Can buying an Apple phone do this for him?
But to the OP's question, when I plug my iPhone up to my iMac, iPhoto opens with a window showing photos on my iPhone taken since my last connection with the option to import all or selected photos. No big deal, right.
That's just it. Your post had nothing to do with the OP's question. You posted a pic of an iPhone to be a snooty smart-ass. Your above paragraph proves it. This can do nothing to help solve his problem, but it does make you feel superior because you own an Apple.
IOW, it just works and that's the message I was attempting to convey to the OP.
Ah, so how does that answer his question or solve his problem?
(FWIW, ol' dan, I have it from the highest sources that Verizon will have the iPhone in Jan. 2011. Do you have any more snarky remarks?)
That's what I heard last year. And, the year before. You obviously believe everything the marketing folks say, but I take it with a grain of salt.
Yeah. Are you one of those cowboys that are frequently, secretly fond of each other?
Nope.

Think 'future'.
That's just it. Your post had nothing to do with the OP's question.
Sure it did.
You posted a pic of an iPhone
No, I posted a picture of the Apple Computer logo.
but it does make you feel superior because you own an Apple.
I think you have some serious issues that you need to work out.

Like I said, I think you have some serious issues that you need to work out.
