JOHN KERRY OWNS At Least A Half Million Dollars Of Strip Search SCANNER STOCK
"..According to a Center for Responsive Politics review of the most recent personal financial disclosure filings, eight members of Congress -- three Democrats and five Republicans -- owned at least $2,000 worth of stock in L-3 Communications, which is one of the two main contractors involved in the full-body scanning machines.
Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) disclosed possessing the most stock in L-3 Communications -- with a minimum investment of at least $500,000 and a maximum value of $1 million. The L-3 Communications stock is fully owned by his wife, Teresa Heinz, according to federal financial disclosure reports.
Members of Congress file annual personal financial disclosures detailing their assets and liabilities, as well as those of their spouses and dependent children. These forms also allow lawmakers to describe the value of their holdings and debts in broad ranges, so it's impossible to know exactly how much the holdings of Kerry's family, or any other lawmaker's household, are worth.
Republican Reps. Michael Castle (R-Del.) and Michael McCaul (R-Texas) both disclosed possessing between $16,002 and $65,000 worth of L-3 Communications stock in 2009.
And Rep. Judy Biggert (R-Ill.) was the member of Congress with the next most valuable holdings in L-3 Communications, worth between $15,001 and $50,000.
Here is a table of all eight lawmakers whose 2009 personal financial disclosure forms, which were filed in May, noted holdings in L-3 Communications, along with the minimum and maximum value of these holdings, according to the Center's research.

A no-brainer investment. The decision to deploy scanners like these was made some time ago, and all you had to do was invest in a portfolio of the likely producers of them (there aren’t many, and you pick the ones that are involved in government testing already). It’s not just these senators, the decisions are not secret, the RFP’s and BAA’s are published for everyone to read on the web.
You’ll find, probably, similar investments on the chemical sniffers in use at security checkpoints (Smiths Detection and GE, mostly).
People made gigabucks on “right turn on red” signs, missile systems, fighter jets (imagine if you had invested in Fairchild Camera in 1961).
I don’t want to pee on your parade, but I own over 100K in L3 Communications stock too. I own it through an employee stock purchase plan. There is a hell of a lot more to L3 Com than the one division that makes scanners. It is one of the best run companies in America and it’s stock is currently considered to be undervalued. Unless John Kerry recently purchased the stock, your arguement has no merit. It should be of no surprise that any weathy person’s stock portfolio has a healthy dose of L3 in it.
The star of that movie is the worst actor in the history of the world
Insider trading... Martha Stewart wants justice!!!
LLS
All those scanners, and they still haven’t found John Kerry’s brain.
AND I just heard a report on radio that one of the biggest backers of the scanner company is SOROS! Between the radiation’s being a questionable health risk, and the chance of getting a venereal disease from the TSA physical attacks, how many of us will willingly fly? If the air carriers survive this, I’ll be surprised.
Please - John F’in was probably told early on they would get the contract by Chertoff, Dashle, etc.
This is complete nonsense. All this shows to me is that he has a conflict of interest in this matter and if you were a lawmaker voting on laws and making statements supporting this I would say the same of you.
This is just another scam on the pblic and the useful idiots on all sides, including those on this site go right along with this.
Oh I understand quite well the point you are making. A look at the purchase dates of these suspect buys would be very helpful in establishing "inside knowledge" or not.
Also I would guess that these buys were made in his wifes name. Its not like he is putting any of his money into 'locked trusts for the future'...lol.
BTW, I said I had L-3 for 6 + years, I was mistaken. Its more like 11+ years. Its a very good stock.
...and if you were a lawmaker voting on laws and making statements supporting this I would say the same of you.
As well you should. I will assure you though, that should that highly unlikely scenario ever occur, I will be much more discreet than these rookies...;)
Ha ha ha
F’in is a pro at getting away with stuff - i.e. his sailboat tax issue.
I hear ya man. I try to follow Howie Carrs’ columns on “Live Shot” for pure entertainment value.
