I haven't looked at the numbers recently, but if we cut all our existing tariffs on goods to 0%, then applied an across-the-board import tariff on goods of 100%, it should roughly cover our budget deficit. But what's our annual operating spending? Am I thinking this through correctly?

I don't want to be paying $6.28/gallon for gas and $13.98 for a 6-pack of beer for nothing.

The ‘rhinos’ or ‘blue bloods’ act like they view themselves as royalty. Liberals can get their cooperation by assisting them in a legalized protection of their own wealth and future posterity. Rhinos call for ‘unity’ while they assist in the redistribution of others wealth and call it compassion.

Conservatives cannot play by Alinsky rules because Alinskites have no morals, notice Rule number 4. Alinskites do NOT believe in the ‘standard’ All men/women are created equal, endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights of ‘life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness’. See liberals view themselves as ‘gods’, and rhinos will serve them as long as they maintain their own personal status... or a promise in a future gain personally.

Mindless name calling.  Reality is that wealth redistribution is raising taxes on wealth creators for the benefit of wealth consumers.  Tariffs are taxes on the wealthy that benefit those not willing create their own wealth by working harder.
