Her first CD was great. Supposedly, she wrote all the songs. There were rumors of a co-writer that wasn’t credited. She hasn’t written anything near the caliber of the first CD since that time (at least, from what I’ve heard) and have resorted to doing covers.
What really irritated me was seeing a video of her singing a Carter family gospel song (can’t remember which one now) on the Gospel Music Channel. What qualifies her to sing gospel???

I beg to differ. Willy is a great songwriter, and really interprets songs well. But a good voice? Not. It’s an annoying voice! He’s sort of the Hoagy Carmichael of our era. Wonderful stuff, so you overlook the nasal twang, and enjoy him anyway. I do like a lot of Willy’s recorded material though. Oh! and don’t forget Bob Dylan. Same kinda deal,,,,,,,,
