A hammer and screw driver might be the less destructive (for removing the hinge pins).

And/Or maybe pliers. Takes up less space in a drawer.

Are you kidding? What kind of a suggestion is that? Don't be ridiculous. She should keep a Porter-Cable reciprocating saw under the vanity. ;-)
