Just had to post about how proud I am of my middle son, who enlisted in the Army and took his oath today! He will be heading to Fort Benning in Aug. and then to Airborne School!
That is the 2nd one this year! Just realized when my boys leave the nest, they really leave! LOL!
Congrats big time. I am so proud of all our troops and their willingness. Tell him thank you for my family
Congratulations, panthermom. It takes a strong woman to raise warrior sons. May your family be blessed for your service to our country.
Congrats!
I’m at Benning right now. I came for Basic this past July. I am currently in OCS. Any questions about Benning in the summer, feel free to ask. Congrats! Hoo-ah! Army leads the way.
My sons are 11 mos. apart, they do everything back to back :) I’ll be good this time around, ha ha.
Thanks! My other son graduated from OSUT in Aug. He has been at his duty station since Aug. 23rd. He is on pre-deployment orders now. He deploys this spring. I have the whole OSUT thing worked out now.....won’t be freaking out when they say they can call on weekends and they don’t, lots of letters, and know which hotels to stay in.....plus, he’ll graduate in Nov. won’t be down there for that insane south GA heat!
And good luck to you!!! Hooah!
Tell him to enjoy Jump School it’s fun...and the second one is the toughest.
I’m sure you are very proud of your boys.
Former Eighty Deuce here.
Congratulations to you and your son. However, why he’d ever want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane??? :)
We are all proud of your sons, too. And remember, there are MILLIONS of prayer warriors in battle for you all.
I love to fly, but hate free fall, so I am getting a little lightheaded thinking about their school. :)
Thanks, Proud Panthermom.
congrats! God bless.
Congratulations panthermom! You and your family will be in my prayers. I’m so very grateful that there are young men and women who want to serve the nation. God Bless!
They offered him a Ranger contract, but after talking to his recruiter, he chose straight Airborne and will drop a Ranger Packet after his assignment to his duty station. He will also have another opportunity in AIT for Ranger if he does well. The liason said he made a wise decision because the wash out is so high. After getting your feet under you, you have a better completion rate and not as likely to get peered out. We will see, I am happy for him and so proud. We will see how the brother competition plays out :) The back and forth has already begun, LOL!
Thank You!
:o)
Congratulation! You are very proud(( (panthermom))) and I am proud too for you and your son’s!!
