I could go on but these rock it for me.
I remember "going to concerts". Moody Blues, Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Beautiful Day, Steve Miller Band, Supertramp, ZZ Top...LOL
The one I remember enjoying the most was Lynyrd Skynyrd. They really put on a good show. I even got up on stage with Rod Stewart back when. He let some of us in the front row climb up and dance. I still listen to a few of his songs on occasion.
I love it too. So uplifting! The Tallis Scholars are especially good.
Excellent taste in hard rock... nice. Thanks for the links
Mony Mony - Tommy James and the Shondells
Patsy Montana - Cowboy’s Sweetheart
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Call Me the Breeze
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - Pride and Joy

Saw Heart Live on 14 Feb 1979, Dog and Butterfly tour it was great. But in my altered state lost my new class ring that night.
Turn the Page is my “signature” song at karaoke. LOL
Excellent! Can you tell me where I can get one of those outfits (leotards??) that Heatwave were wearing in the video? Outstanding for next Halloween...

played and recorded with them at Levons house/studio in Woodstock a few years ago
At Big Pink, or another place? What an experience that must’ve been.
I saw them with Dylan twice too
On the “Before the Flood” tour? I think that was Dylan’s first big tour since his motorcycle accident in ‘66. Quite a long break from stage. He sure came back with a vengeance.
$25 for Thanksgiving dinner at Winterland and then seeing The Band and friends? Best deal ever.
Most I ever paid was $150 per ticket for front row seats to see “The Arms Concert” in ‘83 at the L.A. Forum — Clapton, Beck, Page, Cocker. Amazing show
The house isn’t Big Pink but nearby. Levon and Garth never left Woodstock. Levon turned half of his place into a recording studio—after his wife left him. I know that I know the back story on Big Pink but don’t rememebr it—I’ll ask my son on Thanksgiving and get back to you. I think it’s pretty good.
I vaguely remember that Beck, Page and Clapton were playing together in concert back then. I was always sorry I never saw Clapton live. I guess there’s still a chance. But even if I do, I won’t have anything on my wife. She actually saw the Beatles live when she was a teenager.
Ah man, Flat as a Pancake. That was a good album
Kind of surprising that band never really made it. Heck, most people have never heard of them....now I'm going to have that song in my head for the rest of the morning!
Meant to add, that was a great post. You put some work in that one!!!
Thanks, good selection too!!
Hehe! Don’t forget your platform shoes!
Yeah it was a benefit concert for Ronnie Lane, who had multiple sclerosis. I think they only played in a few locations -- L.A. N.Y., S.F, and maybe one or two other cities. They each did a separate set, and then got together for a few encores -- "Layla" (where the 3 of them traded guitar solos) and "With a Little Help from my Friends" (sung by Joe Cocker) being the most memorable.
Rock of Ages...After the third encore that night they came back on stage with Dylan
The (fairly new) Rock of Ages CD has the Dylan cuts as bonus tracks, as well as a few songs by The Band that weren't on the original release. Highly recommended if you haven't heard it.
She actually saw the Beatles live when she was a teenager.
Did she actually hear the music over all those screaming teens? ;)
I saw Zeppelin in ‘77 and my ears are still ringing to this day.
