Wow. Almost half of people support the scanners? The country is gone- just gone.

They took out two of our biggest buildings in our greatest city with air planes. Now we object to getting patted down when we get on a plane. We really are a bunch of snivelers. If they knock down another building we’ll snivel that the government isn’t doing enough to protect us. Whine, whine, whine.

Maybe I’m stupid but they say the scanners don’t detect non matalic bombs. Why haven’t we deployed drug sniffing dogs?

Seems like a low tech low cost way to actually find explosives.

Right now, you can be molested visually or physically. Removing the scanners is only going to remove one of the choices. Maybe some people want to keep the option of not being felt up.

Well, apparently there are some explosives that are not detected by either dogs or by chemical scanners. And there have been reports that some UK doctors have taught or been taught how to insert explosived under the skin.

Nonetheless, I think the main reason TSA is groping people is to force them to choose the alternative, the full body scan.

For those of us that have a modicum of self-esteem and dignity, I would rather be a whiner than part of the so called 81% of American cowards that willing give up all their dignity for the illusion of security.

IMO there are other choices. Let each airline be responsible for their own level of security. Congress needs to defund TSA totally. The government can and should close the borders and deport everyone who is here illegally. If FedEx can track their packages all over the world, why can’t the govt tap into this technology? In the meantime, metal detectors and wands only and eliminate all carry ons except for a small purse for women and a diaper bag for mom’s with babies.

If a TSA worker searched you you would lose your self esteem? Your kidding, right? I lost 23 co-workers on 9/11. They lost more then their self esteem. We had a shoe bomber, an underwear bomber. It’s not just about you. It’s about the other people on the plane and people on the ground also.

So let me get this straight. You want to turn security over our sky to outfits like Saudi Airlines and Pakistani International Airlines and take it away from the US Government? That sounds like a great idea. What can possibly go wrong with that arrangement?

Have yoou been listening too or reading the news? These beloved searches you love will apply to US not Islamics it seems becaiuse it will offend Mulehumid. Anyone who is willing to sacrifice except for military service their rights and freedoms for security deserve neither including you.

The way to end this happened on the last flight on 9/11. TSA didn't stop the threat U.S. citizens taking matters into their own hands did. I say let the passangers be issued weapons at the gate. I also say close the cockpits off from the passanger section. BTW the airline searching people getting on THEIR plane is one thing as it the airlines property. The Federal government strip searching and searching via devices that intrude past their clothing IS A DIRECT GROSS VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. It is search without Warrant or probable cause. Are you a TSA worker perhaps?

My solution? Keep those airlines the hell out of this countries airspace period. No direct flights from Islamic nations into the U.S. See how simple some solutions actually are?

No I’m not a TSA worker.
I don’t believe that airlines should do the job. I don’t trust the Saudi, Pakistani or a number of other airlines.
Your answer to airline safety is to fight it out in the sky and force the plane to crash? What happened on Flight 93 was commendable but I wouldn’t want to rely on crashing planes before they get to their target a good security measure.

Yea, we all have rights. Don’t inconvenience us in any way. Only the military should expend any sweat in this fight against terrorism.

So let me get this straight. You think the US Government is now in charge of screening passengers boarding departing flights from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan???
