Is taking 3 bucks in such a short period sporting?? Me thinks not.

Someone needs a lesson in Sportsmanship.

“On deer hunting opening day, Hortonville teen, Corissa Wege, bags 3 bucks in one hour”

I call that the thrill of killing, rather then sport.

Sheesh...three deer on opening day? Here in Idaho, we're allowed only one all season long, thanks to the damn wolves that have depleted the deer, elk and moose herds. General (rifle) deer season last only three weeks. I love my state, but stories like this have me envying Wisconsin.

So don't hunt, then. But that's one helluva assumption you're making about a kid who just had a great day in the field.

perhaps she should just get her meat at the store where animals don’t get hurt, right?

I’m sure there’s plenty more road rats left where those came from.

Trying to figure out what the guy is spending $2000 on. Doesn’t cost that much to have them butchered, does it?

I call it putting meat in the freezer.

“Sporting”????

The name of the game is killing deer. Can she help it if 3 deer walk up to her and practically beg to be shot?

it could also be called venison in the freezer free instead of beef that cost money

....time was, I would hunt all week and not get a shot at a deer ...this afternoon I sicced my Lab on two in the garden...they’re everywhere....it’s so bad in Virginia that the state dept of Fish & Game sent out post cards to former hunters....asking them if they would care to come back and hunt this Fall to thin out the deer population....and it’s not just Virginia...’hunter retention’ and ‘hunter recruitment’ are buzz words in all the state Fish & Game depts.
