Old news perhaps but it is from a lefty British journalist so makes a bit of a change.

My dad sat me down before that election and filled me in on the Kennedy Family.

Old news maybe but give me a break...3 days before the anniversary of his death they publish a hatchet job...

The entire Kennedy myth has been pushed by the liberal press for so long that even they start to believe their own lies. I am old enough to remember JFK and his election, as well as his assassination. The truth is that he bought his election with the help of Chicago's political machine and voter fraud. The Kennedy's have been corrupt for generations, and I am glad to be old enough to see the end of the Kennedy dynasty.

The “missile gap” was a huge lie. Because of it Kruschev could gamble on putting almost the entire Sov arsenal in Cubar, but Kennedy couldn't capitalize on that since the country thought the Sovs had lots more back home.

We’ll probably never know half of the dirt with what was involved with Hussein becoming president. Has anyone EVER seen a politician be so able to cover up their past from scrutiny like his people did? It’s remarkable. We could only imagine what filth was involved during his elections. He beat the Clintons for God’s sake!
Kennedy’s election will look as pure as fallen snow compared that of 0bama.

(This post is not a statement of fact. It is merely a personal opinion -- or humor -- or both)

Cut down in his prime, he never grew old enough to betray, disillusion or bore his legion of admirers. Who is President Josiah Bartlett of The West Wing but the liberal fantasy of a mature Kennedy -- pin-sharp, hard as nails and bright with idealism? ...a tale of big money, smears, bribes, wire-pulling and bottomless cynicism. If you are asking what has gone so wrong with modern politics, Kennedy's 1960 election campaign is a good place to start.
In "Conversations With Kennedy", author Bradlee noted that, when a reporter asked JFK on the campaign trail what he'd do in answer to the idea that a Roman Catholic couldn't win, Kennedy's answer was, "I'll g**d***ed well take Ohio, for starters." And he wasn't quoted of course. Thanks PotatoHeadMick.
