The engagement ring given to Kate Middleton by her fiancé, Prince William, belonged to his mother, Princess Diana.
The ring is the stunning 18 carat blue sapphire and diamond ring his father, the Prince of Wales , gave his mother in February of 1981.
In an interview with Fox News, Dianas former butler Paul Burrell said the ring will be introduced to a new generation through Kate Middleton.
"This was my way of making sure that my mother didn't miss out on today," William said as the couple posed for photographers inside St. James's Palace.
The wedding is set to take place next spring or summer in London. According to several reports, Prince William asked for Middletons hand in marriage while the two vacationed in Kenya.

If you like that kind of thing, there are some excellent concert videos. The ones from the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002 bring tears to my eyes. This one gives me goose bumps: God Save the Queen

Now get ready for non-stop royal marriage coverage.
...is a considerable factor in why...
The royal family doesnt have much of a record for successful marriages.
Do you believe that people cannot give money to whomever they so wish? And most people would give to their own progeny above all else, not so? So apart from the sums involved, how is that different from anyone else leaving money in their wills?
I'm not sure what I would do with my share, which would probably amount to a few bricks in Buck palace.
Sure he does. Curiously, they are all people who don’t have any property...
I was very touched by Queen Elizabeth’s response to the 9-11 terrorist attack:

Yes, I was 13 for the C & D wedding. What a spectacle! I had all the kitchy memorabilia, LOL. Can’t wait to see this one. She is going to make a stunning bride.
I think your take on Charles and Diana could be applied to much of secular, narcissistic Europe, (and increasingly America), at large.
If you want to keep up with the wedding details, you should read the Daily Mail online. It has all the details we Royal nuts love.
I must say though, I feel somewhat sorry for the girl after the terrible experience Diana had (not that she was completely innocent, either). Perhaps Kate Middleton has a stronger center than Diana to withstand all the abuse coming her way.
I, too, collected C&D wedding kitsch. Some of it is still in plastic. I wonder what it’s worth!
Who in her Right mind would waste her time on this effeminate fop were he not representative of the obscenity of “royal” birth? Only a woman patterned — as she has stated herself to be — on the effeminate fop’s similarly cynically opportunistic and subsequently serially promiscuous trollop female parent, Mz Dianna Spencer.
