The reality for most teen moms is that they are living from paycheck to paycheck, that is, if they are making any money at all. It is not a glamorous life. If it wasn’t for her mother, Bristol would live that life.

I’ve had this conversation with my girls. I understand where you come from, I saw it the same way at first.
Let me be clear, teenage girls today do not view Bristol’s opportunities and income as a result of her having a baby. They see it 100% as a result of being Sarah Palin’s daughter.
If Bristol wasn’t Sarah’s daughter, she would just be a broke, struggling single mom. If she had not had a baby, she would still be Sarah’s daughter and the media would still be intrigued. She would still get offers.
Just watch, Willow and Piper will get offers too when they are old enough and ready.
I agree. Let her make her decisions on her own. She is a smart cookie I think and is learning quickly. She will do fine.
Did you watch it? She is talking about staying abstinent until marriage.

She isn’t much of a poster child. Were she in the real world and not the daughter of a celebrity parent she’d be someone with only a highschool diploma living in a trailer trying to raise a kid by herself and probably stealing from the public treasury. Instead others are doing most of the hard work of raising the child while she gets to be a TV celebrity and bring in some real bucks. The average promiscuous teen has a life that ends up filled with plenty of misery and strife. She isn’t average. Her immoral behavior has yet to show any consequences.
