Went up in the mountains yesterday............ 4 valley quail and 3 mountain quail. I’m eating some of them right now. Quail on the barbis, diced spuds buttered, seasoned and wrapped in foil on the barbie, corn on the cob and rolls. Oh, did I mention the beer?
Took them with my Stoeger sxs 12ga.

That nickel one is a 15. I’ve bid on 17s on Gun Broker but they go for very premium prices. I sure wish I had a Smith 22 or 22 mag.

I was looking at some red dots at the gun show today. Didn’t find anything in my price range. Lots of NCstar stuff. The red dots looked awfully fuzzy to me. Maybe it’s just my progressive lens eyeglasses. Can’t tell. Wanted to try out an EOtech but didn’t get a chance.

NC Star is junk, do not waste your money. I learned my lesson. The Bushnell got a lot of good reviews, so we’ll see.
I would have ordered another Vortex Strikefire, but I need a large base on the scope since the rail on the SU is kydex or some other plastic.

Dave, let me know what you think about it once you give it a try. The customer reviews are all over the place. I would something better for my AR, but can't afford an EOTech or such.
