These days I drive.
I’ve seen half this country. Including the entire stretch of US 1. I don’t mind driving.
How about this? WE are the clients. We pay for the privilege of flying, and the grubby TSA thugs turn around and man-handle us. There’s a real business-killing strategy.

Should be a “hell yes” option.
I only fly if it is an absolute emergency and haven’t since August of last year. I went through a stretch in 2003-2006 when I flew twice. This is quite a change for someone with over two million air miles under his belt. I made up my mind after 911 that I was going to put up with the PC’d security nonsense as little as possible.
I will endure the TSA thugs as little as possible.
NOTHING the T.S.A. does would prevent me from spending those two weeks with my husband before he deploys ~ though I'm saddened that the price of spending time with him will be full-body-scans or invasive/intrusive pat-downs of my most private parts.
This is not what he's fighting for.
First thing ya know only us Armed Forces will be eligible to fly...

Poll looking good.
I am a ‘frequent driver’ and looking back at some International flying, I found better/professional staff at places like Rio, where a United guy was doing it the Israeli way... the questions, the look, the demeanor, really cool!
If the baggage guy outside on the sidewalk would do 5 to 10 for groping my little children’s crotches, then the TSA guy a few yards inside the door should too.
THERE IS NO WAY I WILL FLY if my children are subjected to this.
No flying for me unless its by charter.
I will NEVER fly commercial again.

It's also the long security lines, the multitude of prohibited items in carry-on, the cramped seats, & general discomfort of the entire experience.
When you have to get there 3 hours in advance, then sit at the gate for another hour while the stewardess auctions off seats in a full plane, that 3 hour flight becomes an all day nightmare. Driving is not nearly that aggravating.

Fortunately, being a pilot, a fly myself when the need arises. Otherwise, I drive...
How about a medical privacy defense?
You know, revealing medical information is forbidden.
So, my x-rays, prostheses, implants, etc., are private medical information!!
Will this fly (oops, no pun intended)?
As much as I’d like to avoid a tsa probing, there are a lot of trips I cannot take by means other than aircraft. Of the trips I no longer fly I just don’t take them (i.e. stay home) rather than find alternate means of travel.
We will be driving. I will not allow that to happen to my wife or let some government half-wit fondle my privates.
