...man who walk through airport turnstile sideways going to Bangkok.
That’s gonna leave a mark.
Have you stared into a spiral for 30 seconds and then looked at something stationary?
.
This is one ex-wife who only wanted out. The Exes got custody of everything but those things passed down to me from my family.
I don’t believe in being vindictive, and never understood women who are.
But you’re right: this IS a silly thread, so erase what I posted!! :o])
I think it’s part of being a Freeper that necessitates that we, in a divorce, are the losers-of-material-wealth. We do, however, seem to keep our self-respect.
This happened LONG before FR. In fact, I’ve been single since ‘89, and since I was a military wife for most of my life before that, I’ve been alone long enough to know that life is too short to dance with ugly men.
So I look forward to Friday Silliness because it helps me to keep a balanced perspective. Without laughter, life is empty.
And by the time Friday comes along, I’m SOOO ready for the silliness, I can hardly wait for it to start!!!
Hang in there! As long as we come out with our sanity, self-respect and those things our families have given us, we can, indeed, consider ourselves lucky!!! Anything less is most likely not worth the fight. :o])
I'm happy to be someone who can live with herself. ;-)

You’re always welcome!
I have a similar philosophy. Mine is "life is too short to do stupid men." Fortunately, I have found over the years that not all men fit into that category. And put me in the club of ladies who could have taken her ex to the cleaners and didn't. Kids and I ate a lot of ramen for a while, but I did what I thought was right.
Ramen was the major of the four food groups. Actually, it was second...after chocolate, of course!
I have met some extremely intelligent men that I had a lot in common with and really liked, but....they are either dead, now, or they are happily married to someone else.
And so...I live alone. During my last divorce, my attorney said, “I really think you should go for alimony.” I said, “How long with that take?” He said, “Six months.” I said, “No. Too long. I want out.” And I got out.
On the other side of that, when he passed away, I got his SS benefits. Better than alimony. It keeps me in ramen and chocolate! ;o]
Woman who fly airplane upside down have hairy crackup....
I checked out your link. Is that The Thread that Never Dies? :-) WONDERFUL!
Yes, bannie...it IS the Undead Thread! (Drum roll!)
I would be proud to add you to my ping list! It’s low volume...twice a month, if we have good fodder!
FReepmail me and let me know!
XO
Looks like an elephant seal is trying to get out of those drawers...
