Seems like every one of these is a weak immitation of
the first one I ever saw. The idea that Macy's would have so many people milling about on some Saturday in October/November is absurd.

The Wannamaker Building (Macys now) is a wonderful store, great architecture, history, the organ is a classic as is teh Christmas light show.
The store is huge and would be busy on this Saturday, especially with an organ recital in the main atrium.

Oh poo. At Christmas time the store is packed and beautiful. That 650 of them this time were singers is just neat.
