Actually it hasn't even had such capability for 20 years. You might remember that Clinton & Co. started selling them technology less than 20 years ago.
I think the most likely explanation for the missile that appeared near Los Angeles is again a Navy accident. There was a NOTAM prepared for the day after the missile sighting. Maybe the NOTAM issuers got the date wrong; or maybe the guys carrying out the scheduled exercised didn't know what day it was. Then it would make sense for another government cover-up. If it was some foreign action, I think a lot of our guys would have scrambled. That they didn't is evidence that this was something our military knew about in advance.

Lorrie LaibleI find it intersting that no one “claims” to know about this. Yesterday we were returning from Honolulu on Hawaiian Airlines with an arrival time of 3:25 pm at LAX. Approximately 270 miles away our pilot came on the speaker and told us we would be rerouted over Big Sur California due to military maneuvers in our path. Maybe they should speak with the pilot of our flight.
