*snicker* Make me.
>>And over the fifty years of heavy aviation in the socal area (minimum) it is almost unheard of that anyone has raised so many questions about one of those contrails...<<
I agree. Welcome to the world of Twitter, Myspace, and the internet in general! :)
>>...that the FAA and Pentagon still can’t identify an aircraft in that air space over 48 hours later.<<
I think they were confused because some “apparently credible” people said they thought it was a missile, but there was no evidence other than the tape. They did the same investigating a lot of us here did and, after being careful they didn’t miss anything (something we are less careful to do) they finally identified it as probably flight 808.
I’m as confident about this as I am that Dan Rather’s documents were fake.
That is one aspect that the missile-deniers are ignoring. The contrail is thick and opaque its entire length. Also, while it is true that a jet contrail often continues to widen to a point as it ages (until it dissipates into nearly invisible haze) it will appear to get narrower towards the horizon as it is many miles further away.
Thank you so much for now posting this. I've downloaded it and will start the forensic examination immediately.
It's a missile, folks.
;-/
Thanks for that.
Here’s a great snippet from the article there The second part is actually pretty funny.
The local station chopped up the video and so its hard to watch it continuously, Pike said. But at one place you can see it has changed course rockets dont do that.
Pike said he didnt understand why the military had not recognized the contrail of an aircraft. The Air Force must understand how contrails are formed, he said. Why they cant get some major out to belabor the obvious, I dont know.

As I recall it was a causeway due south from the launch pad and all water in between. They closed it immediately and didn’t allow anyone to leave for about an hour or more. No grass just a narrow man made causeway. Two lanes of blacktop and enough bare dirt along either side to park. They had speakers on poles broadcasting the feed from launch control similar to the speakers at drive in theaters. The cut the audio right after the explosion.
Good. I wasn’t arguing anything.
So why did DOD seize the tape "of Flight 808"? Genius? I'll wait while your handlers try to figure out a plausible explanation for that. You guys really are too much. You actually think that we're that dumb.
Let me give you a clue: your boys don't have anyone in either crypto or DIF that comes within 30 Sancrine points of me. Maybe more like 50.
Deal with it.

>>The contrail is thick and opaque its entire length. <<
No. It only APPEARS thick and opaque. And that is very common, especially when the clouds are still in sunlight but most everything else is not.
...just that.
Yep.
The one seen the next day that matched, and is held up as proof that it was an airliner -- I have learned through first-hand experience to become so skeptical of news sources that I pretty much take everything they say with several large grains of salt -- may have been another launch. Snicker, folks, go ahead -- but the reality is Americans have been lied to many times in ways just like this, and believed it. I have seen it happen.
People here think that folks who understand this was a missile "want to believe." They project: THEY are the ones who want to believe an explanation that makes them feel safe. I don't want to believe that our media and government are lying to us, I really, really don't, and furthermore, I think people who say I do are behaving like boors who like to insult people.
My personal guess: it was a U.S. launch. That is also my hope -- the idea that it came from an enemy country is something only a stupid fool would WANT to believe, yet there are FReepers here who have that much contempt for fellow FReepers who actually don't let what they do and don't "want" to believe influence what they perceive with their eyes and experience.
Right at one the heaviest air traffic hours of the day.
It would have been over in a minute if they had said:
“Yes, routine launch, look for another in a week or so”.
Yes. TWA Flight 800 was not shot out of the sky.
LMAO
Peace, OUT! ;-\
And then they appear to narrow again in the distance due to perspective if they go on to the horizon parallel to the earth.
