Police do not "protect" us per se, and never have. They provide some deterance and when that doesn't work they take reports. Protect? Naa. Get yourself a Glock if you want protection.

Now, they can be hired by another department and their new Chief can claim that they have "unblemished records" the next time they are caught.

I consider Starting Salary of $26900.00 ...After 1 year - $29942.00 a crap salary which is exactly what it is in South Arkansas.

All of them should have been fired,not allowed to resign or "punished" with a nominal pay cut.

Such officers betrayed the public trust they swore to uphold,therefore out they should go!

This is WAY more common than this author assumes. Happens all the time. GPS on patrol vehicles have reduced this.(Officer out of zone, etc)
