DWTS Season 11 enters its eighth week of competition tonight (Nov 8) and thus, the Bristol Palin enigma continues.
'Bristol the Pistol' has taken aim & shot down better qualified & much more fiercely talented candidates in her quiet wake to win the coveted mirror ball trophy.
But the burning question remains: how does Palin continue to linger on the competition & stir the ire of many DWTS fans who view the show as a talent (not popularity) contest?
While continually scoring at or near the bottom of the Judge's leader board since the onset of Season 11, Palin has somehow beat out competitors who have outscored and outperformed her, i.e., Florence Henderson, Rick Fox, and even Mike The Situation Sorrentino who exited the show at Week 4.
But what is really at the crux of the Bristol Palin matter is not the fact that Palin continues to receive enough votes to stay on DWTS. That part is evident.
The real question is why & where those votes come from. That is, are those votes generated by Sarah Palin supporters, or are they cast because people really like Bristol?
Hopefully, it's because people truly like 'Alaska's Favorite Daughter', find her refreshing and just want to see her win because of who she is.

Me too, looks as if it worked. Yippee
I watched it, I also watched Rush's interview both were great!!
I think that Jennifer could be facing some voter backlash soon (if not already). Many people are tired of the “drama” surrounding her each week. Many are also tired of Derek always seeming to get one of the best dancers each season as his partner.
Brandy has been doing well with her dances. Plus, Maks definitely has fans who would love to see him win.
I think that Brandy has an excellent chance.
Brandi is the best dancer and will likely get all my votes starting next week. I think it is time for Bristol to go unless Kyle has a bad week next Monday.
I cut away before I saw that vile sub-human!
Looking forward to reading this thread tomorrow. We were at the Plumstead Christian School here in Bucks County tonight—Sarah was the guest speaker! She was totally awesome! It was a memorable evening with a marvelous tribute to our military at the beginning. Then Sarah was introduced and began with some amusing comments about Bristol and Dancing with the Stars! Details tomorrow!
OH ...how I remember the old Andy Williams Christmas Specials with all his family..There use to be such great Holiday specials when I was ‘young’ darn what has happened!!!
Can't wait to hear about it!!
Yes! We have literally driven liberals nuts!
Apparently, in one of the rehearsal shots, Bristol is wearing a T Shirt that says “Tea Party - 1773”.
I’m dying to find a screen shot of that!
I agree. Jennifer is good too, but I can't stand her partner. Kyle is a lot of fun to watch too.
Age no doubt has something to do with it, but I think that her pain is exacerbated by neck injuries that she suffered as a passenger in a serious 1987 automobile accident. I know that she subsequently had several operations on her neck.
I guess Jamie Lee and Jenn Grey are good friends because of what they have in common—growing up in show biz as children of famous people.
Brandy should win, not Jennifer.
I am thrilled that Bristol gets to stay another week. After all the grief that creature who fathered her child gave her, it is wonderful to see Bristol having such a great time with Mark. I watched some vids of the two of them greeting a bunch of fans and giving a tango lesson to an entertainmant reporter. They were having such fun!
It would be nice if a real relationship (leading to marriage) developed. The Ballas family are quite well off, Mark is an only child, and they need some heirs to their fortune. It could be a very advantageous match on both sides.
I think that we have driven the judges nuts also. Fun isn't it
:)
I just want some variety like we used to have in Television, not the mostly crap we have now. A little will go a long way. DWTS is in the 11th Season I believe. I have been Viewing since the end of three. It gets more popular all the time.
