DWTS Season 11 enters its eighth week of competition tonight (Nov 8) and thus, the Bristol Palin enigma continues.
'Bristol the Pistol' has taken aim & shot down better qualified & much more fiercely talented candidates in her quiet wake to win the coveted mirror ball trophy.
But the burning question remains: how does Palin continue to linger on the competition & stir the ire of many DWTS fans who view the show as a talent (not popularity) contest?
While continually scoring at or near the bottom of the Judge's leader board since the onset of Season 11, Palin has somehow beat out competitors who have outscored and outperformed her, i.e., Florence Henderson, Rick Fox, and even Mike The Situation Sorrentino who exited the show at Week 4.
But what is really at the crux of the Bristol Palin matter is not the fact that Palin continues to receive enough votes to stay on DWTS. That part is evident.
The real question is why & where those votes come from. That is, are those votes generated by Sarah Palin supporters, or are they cast because people really like Bristol?
Hopefully, it's because people truly like 'Alaska's Favorite Daughter', find her refreshing and just want to see her win because of who she is.

From Bristol's Facebook page...
“Tonight, the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup results will be determined by instant dancing. The couples will only get their assigned song 20 minutes in advance, causing them to think on their feet for a strategy. But they will also get to make their regular preparations for another dance.
The final five have two chances to prove themselves tonight, as Season 11 enters the home stretch. After expectations were shaken up in the last two weeks, fans wonder if a third straight supposed contender will face elimination.”

She might make it to the top 3 but she won’t win.
Ping!
If Bristol is voted off tomorrow, this may be our last week for DWTS. I doubt if there will be any interest after that.
It’s been fun!!
I don’t watch the show but I guess Bristol must be doing pretty well to still be on! She must be quite disciplined to be prepared every week—good for her.
She didn’t even vote last week. She’s an idiot.
She’llbe the runner up...And lose in the last dance...Its what they are being setup for...
Basically to identify with her Mom’s run for the Presidency in 2012...
So close, yet, so far...
Thats how I would play it out if I were the opposition...
Prior to last week, I gave all my votes to Bristol for two phone numbers and three email addresses because I believed she deserved to stay on based on her performance to offset the liberal judges.
I think she is better than Kurt and Kyle overall, but starting tonight, I am going to split my votes based strictly on the four best performers unless two are really bad abd then amongst the three best.
She entered DWTS without ever having a dance lesson, and she’s been working hard. No one ever expected her to win, but she came far, having to go up against Jennifer Grey and Brandy.
She looks lovely in that picture.
Let’s see what happens...
I thought so too!
Kyle is getting smooth.
The chubby disney kid is growing throughout this process...and losing weight.
He did a nice job.
Bruno says Kyle’s getting sophisticated...
