Ok, I guess I have been out of the loop, who the heck is Oscar Grant?
I heard they just made it illegal for Happy Meals to contain a toy. I thought it applied to just San Francisco, but maybe these nice folks next door in Oakland thought it meant them too.
Amazing how no one goes to San Fran and protest the death of a father and his two boys who were shot at the hands of an illegal leaving a wife and mother heartbroken.
They protest because the are morans....alot of the morans probably don’t even live in Oakland I am sure they were bused in from an organizer.
I am sorry NO ONE was at Bart the night of the incident, accidents do happen we don’t know the whole story. I doubt that this officer shot this guy on purpose. This group from what the newspaper said on that night they were causing trouble I wasn’t on Bart nor do I go on Bart let alone in Oakland. I am afraid to go to the mall in Hayward due to the violence.
But hey these nuts ruin homes, businesses, trash the streets and look like crazy people. Like the rest of the USA needs to see how much more crazy we are in CA
Like Oakland a struggling city can afford crap like this I am sorry I think this officer has suffered enough as with his family. The Grant family has suffered at the loss of their family. He is serving his time in a court of law this is what the judge decided.........move on.

Thanks but after posting I remembered, he was the one on the subway, guy shot in the back, cop sentenced to two years. I guess the people in Oakland(that wonderful law abiding town)don’t like the sentence, huh?

What’s sad is all the young black men who have been killed in Oakland since Grant’s death, but no one riots about them.
They are only rioting now because it was a cop who killed the guy. If some black guy had killed him they wouldn’t say a frickin’ word about it, even if they acquitted the shooter.
I ate some pigs feet and Mexican cheese balls at an upscale eatery in Oakland once. Looked like slop joint but the food was pretty good.
Just a drunk guy who thought it would be fun to fight with the BART cops and ran into one who didn't know how to handle his weapon.
In the hierarchy of law enforcement officers, you have your university piglets, your mall cops, your BART cops, your BATFE agents, your armed private security guards and finally, your real law enforcement officers. The guy who ended the life of the intoxicated Mr. Grant was a BART cop. Somewhat tragic but more of an example of incompetence than racism.
