"The Republican leadership is acting like we put them in power. "
Obviously, you have some hint as to how the liberals have been going down the path of third world government for the past three years as you did mention the obama regime.
However, if the GOP doesn't "act like" we put them in power, then the progressives will walk all over them. Harry Reid and obama have both already started by trying to dictate their behavior.
One of the most powerful and popular conservative figures in the USA right now is Sarah Palin. She is in their face and tells it like it is. Another popular person is Chris Christie, the Governor of NJ; not leaving out Jan Brewer in Arizona and others who are rising stars in the GOP because they "act like" we put them in power.
The liberal/progressives are bullies, and if you show any sign of weakness they are on you like flies on a dog turd.
If you think obamaism and the liberals are going to slink into obscurity just because "we won", they're not. They're going to see just how far they can push us, and, they are going to try to project all of their failures over to us. It's not going to work, but they're going to try nonetheless.
If you think we won to go to Congress and play footsies with the dems, if you think that is our purpose, then we went to a whole lot of election expense for nothing.
Obama is not going to "conceded" any of his agenda or power because we "won"; all he understands - and governs by - is bing "in yo face".
You go ahead and sit in the corner wringing your hands because you might be 'embarassed' if the republicans "act like" they're in power, the rest of us will be voting their asses out next time around IF THEY AREN'T.
If you're going to be a complete wimp, I'm sure the democrat party would welcome your money and your ideology. If not, you'd best suit up for the fight, because that's what is going to happen. He who swings the first punch might be at fault, but he usually wins the fight.
This is not a chat room, as one of the freepers said, but I could not let this sign of liberal wimpiness go unanswered. I've said what I had to say, and I'm done...the "chat" is over.

Remember Senator-elect Rubio’s speech. It says it all.
This is simply winning a battle, not the war. WE need to keep our boot on ALL their throats.

This thread should be in “Bloggers and Personal” not in General.
This thread doesn’t belong in the topic category America - the Right Way.
This thread should be a reply to a topic, not a topic itself.

We did NOT put the Republicans in power; we threw the Obamunists out of power. And if the Republicans start acting like Progressives, we will throw them out of power too.POWER is the problem! The original concept was SERVICE. The only way to get back to it is to make it inpossible to be a career politician. Term limit them out, along with their staffers. Those who seek power will lose interest, and we'll get some public SERVANTS!

The GOP was swept into power in 1994 based on Newt's promises in the Contract with America. Most of it was passed, eventually, but then the GOP stopped acting upon those ideals. They were voted out. In 2000, the GOP was given a rare opportunity to once again control all 3 Houses. The energized base wanted to reign in government growth and spending... instead the GOP out-spent the Clinton years, and so in 2006, they were voted out. Now in 2010, they're getting one more chance, with a VERY clear message that it is NOT the GOP that we are voting for, but a very specific set of ideals... and if the GOP cannot support them, then the real prospect of a third party looms.
(This despite the fact that the two major parties have willingly cooperated, slowly and subtly, and have spent the last 18 years changing election rules to help prevent another third-party scare like Ross Perot gave them.)
