Vietnamese expats get 45 days each in Saudi prison for slicing the camel alive
A Saudi court sentenced two Vietnamese expatriates to 45 days in prison after they were found guilty of cutting off a leg of a camel alive just to taste its meat, the Saudi Arabic language daily Alwatan reported on Tuesday.
The two sneaked into a farm in the southwestern town of Najran with a heavy metal bar after seeing the camel pasturing alone, the paper said.
“They clubbed the camel with the bar on the head and it fell unconscious…they cut off its leg and left the farm,” the paper said.
“They told court they did so because they wanted to taste camel meat…the judge sentenced each of them to 45 days in jail…but the camel owner is appealing the verdict and demanding SR450,000 in damages.”
The paper did not say whether the two did taste the meat.

Being that this incident took place in Saudi Arabia, the two fools can’t even claim that they were drunk.
Was wondering when THAT reference would be made.

Or *gasp* venture into the local supermarket, where they would have found it, labeled and pre-packaged, like a t-bone steak is, here in the states. I know, because I personally did that in 1980, when I was in "the Magic Kingdom"...

So let me get this right. It is not okay to cut off a CAMEL’S leg while it is alive but it is perfectly alright to STONE a woman who is alive. Right... gotta love these folks. They have it all figured out.
