I was in Hamburg Germany this week for business, and had the fortune (?) of visiting the memorial at Berger-Belsen, one of the most notorious Nazi concentration camps. By the time the camp was liberated by British troops on April 15, 1945, there were 12,000-13,000 Jews dying every day from starvation and disease.
It is one of the most notorious of all Nazi concentration camps for several reasons:
1) Anne Frank and her sister Margot died in this camp.
2) As the allied forces pushed their way into Germany, Hitler had prisoners from camps in the encroachment areas moved to other prisons. Berger-Belsen received many of these prisoners and severely overloaded an already overloaded camp. Deaths became staggerlingly high.

Several things really stuck out to me:
1) In a very eerie way, the Berger-Belsen grounds were very quiet. There were no birds, no animals, no insects or any sort of non-plant life although the prison was surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. According to local lore, no living thing exists.
2) This was not a re-enactment with buildings, etc., this was just a solemn walk through a beautiful place where some very horrible things happened. The area is simply breathtakingly beautiful.
3) They have a fabulous museum on site that tells the whole story. I could spend 1-2 days just in the museum.
I am 54 years old, and this was the most emotional experience in my life (outside of life / death issues). I will forever be touched, and plan to make a German vacation visiting more of these camps.

Thank you. I’ll look for it. (However, I do think dwelling on this evil is spiritually dangerous. One can never explain it or find any rational explanation for the nazi atrocities.) It was from Satan himself.
That's bull. The German people weren't taken over by Satanic forces. Enough of the population became convinced that what the government said was in the best interests of the country as a whole was more important than what was good for any individual. Enough of the population became convinced that the experts knew more about how to solve the problems of the country than the people did, and if they just turned responsibility for solving the problems over to those experts they wouldn't themselves have to worry about having to go to the trouble of thinking about complex problems like that.
Modern day examples of that mindset are all around us. Their solutions to the supposed crises of Healthcare and Global Warming spring to mind. Just let the statist experts come up with the solutions and everything will be dandy for everyone, they say. And just like in Germany, a LOT of people in current America buy into it.

Train: Take the trian to Celle. From there it is about a 45 minute drive.
Bus: The bus stop is on the left of the train station in Celle. Take bus #9 to Bergen Belsen. (No buses back on Saturday, no buses run on Sunday)

Hitler and his henchmen were possessed. You can either believe it or not. The occult nature of Nazism has been well-documented. The German people didn’t have any say in it after 1933.
My old across the street neighbor (I moved 3 miles), who I still see from time to time, was born of a woman sporting a Bergen-Belsen tatoo.
Just knowing that was/is a very sobering thing.

Do you think there was justice in hanging the ones guilty of the worst war crimes? Or do you think it would have been more appropriate to bring in exorcists to deal with it?

No, this isn’t really about the Nazis. It’s a heroic story and deals with something quite different.

The history department had a standing course on Fascism and its rise around the world. We studied the death camps in great detail as well as all the fascists movements in Europe. The infrastructure for camps exists right here, along with rail cars equipped with handcuff interior rails. After one knows what happened on the ground at those camps in Europe, we have a right to be wary. Its not much of a stretch to imagine what Obama and his Czars would do if faced with wholesale insurrection of the US public.

I read Kogon’s book as a college student in the 1960’s. It was positively CHILLING. Anyone who believes “it can't happen again” is a total fool. It CAN happen again and events are aligning for another go around. Far too many are willfully blind or just too stupid (or both) to see this coming. It's not going to be pretty.
We will stop them. The opening shot of that battle is next Tuesday.And then we will have to fight them hard for 2 years, and then finish the job.
Most of us would prefer to banish the Obama Movement at the polling booth,but that kind of attempt didn’t work in Germany or Italy.
