I think that’s why most of them are liberals, anyway, because being a conservative is fun, and they want people to think they sit around solving world hunger when they’re not on stage.

I believe this to be a calculated career public relations action. Start out conservative and become a prominent supporter of conservative causes for a few years and then have a “transformation” to embrace the truth of liberalism. It’s a great career boost and money maker for those who convert. Arianna Huffington became a leader among liberals this same way. Purely a busines decision.

No matter what her politics are, by being outwardly antagonistic to conservatives, she has just alienated half her fan base. Is that necessary? Does that endear her more to her “Hollywood friends”? I think that’s the key even if she didn’t care one whit about politics, it’s popular to bash conservatives in Hollywood and maybe she needs to think she’s popular.

Look at the change in Kevin Costner. Once a conservative, he ended up sitting next to Hillary at the dim's convention.

I could give a rat’s rear end about an actor’s politics, even if they want to pontificate about them. About my only exception to that rule is Jane Fonda, because she ACTIVELY supported our enemy on the battlefield, during the Vietnam War.
