She was said to be considering going on a diet after becoming fed up with being talked about as the 'curviest woman in Hollywood.'
But fans of Christina Hendricks can rest assured - the Mad Men actress is definitely not planning on losing her famous curves.
'I love my body as it is,' she told British Grazia magazine. 'People in the industry have been telling me to lose weight for years but I like the way I look.' It was reported that the 35-year-old, who has a stunning 39D-30-39 figure, had told friends she wants to lose more than two stone.
But the actress, who is married to actor Geoffrey Arend, said she has her mother to thank for helping her feel secure about her figure.
'I give credit for my mother for helping me feel good about my appearance - for making sure I never felt embarrassed about my body, because she was never worried about looking too big,' she said
However, it seems the star wasn't always quite so curvy.
'I started out as a model and when I went to Italy to build my modelling book I gained 15 pounds from all the pastas and cappuccinos,' she revealed.
'I saw my body change and I loved how it changed my appearance and how it made me look more womanly and sexy.'
Hendricks recently showed off her curvy figure in a black floral dress at the New York screening of the Mad Men series finale.
She plays sexy secretary Joan Holloway on the cult 1960s drama whose fourth season recently finished in the U.S

I somehow doubt she’s truly the “curviest woman in Hollywood.” People use that term (curvy) loosely when they apply it to women with uniquely large breasts and hips and an overall voluptuous look. Actually, it all depends on the ratios between the parts that stick out and the parts that go in. Which means it’s as easy for a Skinny-Minny as a voluptuary to be “curvy.”
In short, we must stop using curvy as a euphamism for—how shall I put it?—weighty. The term probably applies equally to Christina Hendricks and Jessica Alba.

Oh come on. If it wasn’t for her chest,at least in this picture, most guys would ignore her. Based on that picture and the runway pic - she does not have a pretty face.

Pam Anderson was apretty girl before she became a freak. A Canadian of Swedish descent but probably Swedish-Finnish descent. You can see Finnish in her eyes. They are less rounded than European eyes.

Coming from a family of redheaded women of Irish ancestry I have to agree with you with the exception of the one I’m married to for 32 years. She’s the only sane redhead I’ve ever met LOL.

If you would tone down the ego, we'd all appreciate it. Tell me, cutting down a woman's appearance, who happens to be more attractive than about 90% of the population, give you some kind of ego boost?
