What I said is correct: There are only two selections available in the Appearance combo box available in System Preferences: The settings you can choose from are Blue and Graphite.
The drab UI in OS X is miserable when compared to Windows 7. What’s worse, when I lower screen brightness to save battery life, the text on the window titles and window tabs in Safari... becomes completely unreadable. Dark gray text on gray backgrounds provides extremely poor contrast.

Google for Deviantart Macintosh Utilities. Id link, but FR seems to have a problem where any text written after creating that link disappears. Im running SnowTunes at the moment.

Yes, but the problem is that you only looked as far as the System Preferences pane. You didnt bother to search over the interwebs to see if there were any alternatives.

Start reading different sites or use Reader mode.
