That is sort of what I figured when I looked at the poll stats. A third tier spoiler to assist an unpopular second tier candidate.
Is Benishek affiliated with Beaumont Hospital in any way? I have had numerous dealings with the people there. I love them. By that I mean they have my adoration and loyalty. They took care of my kid, and did the job, and rescued a situation we had been told was nigh hopeless.
When POTUS - Puker On the United States - came out with that absurd ghetto rat drivel about gratuitous amputations etc. by physicians “to line their pockets”, I thought I would explode. He went from someone I intensely disliked to an avowed enemy at that point.
Doubt it, just based on geography. Beaumont is located in suburban Detroit. The district in which Dr. Benishek is running is hundreds of miles away up north.
Gotcha. That area is almost frontier feeling.
I really like Michigan. I’ve met -many- solid, warm, hard working people up there.

Wilson is being backed by Ron Paul candidate from the Republican Primary, Linda Goldthorpe. She quit campaigning halfway through the primary, and thinks that the true way to revolutionize is through backing a third party candidate. All of the major tea parties in the huge 30+ county district have excoriated Wilson and his supporters. Wilson did not run in the primary.
Dan is a surgeon in Iron Mountain, way, way up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He still works two days a week at the VA.

I have no idea if Dr Benishek has any inclinations to Beaumont or not.
Last night debate was pretty good for the awful forum they had. Benishek looked relaxed and at ease and really showed a command the rest didnt have.
Benishek got McDowell (D) with a question that set McDowell on one of them “Who Me?” moments. McDowell got caught making a comment about the “death panels” and Dr Benishek nailed him on it.
