October 15: Last week, my colleague Joel Riciputi and I were honored to attend the White House for the GreenGov Presidential Awards – a terrific celebration of the many ways the Federal government is leading the way on clean energy and conservation.
I’ve written here before about the importance of Executive Order 13514, in which President Obama is pushing our government to cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 20%, to design and build nothing but zero-energy buildings by 2030, and to think across its entire supply chain about how to promote and to embody sustainability.

Under Governor Martin O’Malley’s “EmPOWER Maryland” initiative, the State of Maryland will reduce energy consumption by 15 percent by the year 2015. To help achieve this goal, the Maryland Energy Administration encourages residents to adopt the combination of energy savings measures that are most appropriate for their home. In many cases, these measures do not require a large financial investment.

(1) Man-made global warming was real and not a hoax, and
(2) If the state of Maryland with encased by a gigantic dome that locked in all gases.
If both of the above are untrue, then this CO2 exchange is pure insanity.
