Another Zippo plus. They claim they'll always repair their lighters for free. True. I've had the same Zippo for about 40 years and have sent it back to the shop about five times. They repair the top hinge and supply totally new innards. A real stand-up company.

AHHH! Case Knives! I have been trying to arrange a factory tour for our family for a few years but we never seem to be able to all go together.
Case was one of my first pocket knives and I still prefer them. The only thing is they don't make a multi tool like the Victorinox Fireman - which is ALWAYS on my belt. Case blades are better. I go through 2-3 Victorinox a year because of the stainless. Yes, I use my knives A LOT!
I wish Case would make a knife similar to the Fireman that has a couple of locking blades and LOCKING tools. As it is I carry a small Case for cutting and use the Vicky for other applications.

We learned in the military, when going out of “your comfort zone” .....have two zippo lighters. Take masking tape, or medical tape out of your first aid kit and tape one shut. That way you should have almost 4 weeks or so of lighter capability. Extra flints under the cotton wading and you are set.
No way do you want even a small container of flammable or combustible liquid on or about your person.
I still have 3 zippo lighters that I use. My wife just bought me a Calibri lighter for my cigars. Just for old
times sake I keep my main 2 zippos filled and use them every once in awhile so they do not feel left out after all these years.

I have been a Case knife fan since I was but a squirt. My dad gave me one when I was about 7. There is nothing that feels like a good pocket worn Case knife. I collect as many as I can that catch my fancy, but I carry a “toothpick” or a “stockman” daily.
Still made in the USA when other companies, (Frost,Schrade etc.) bailed out for Japan, China and Pakistan. Although I have a few Boker, Schrade (when still a US company), I will pay more for a new or classic Case anyday.
If you like pocket knives, or hunting knives consider a Case. Maybe they will someday make a multi-tool.

probably because of the propensity of most guys to spray it on the fire straight from the bottle. What?!? You're not supposed to do that? I thought that was standard grill operating procedure.
Yes, I'm joking... maybe.

Representing the birkenstock-shod smoking police viewpoint, I see.Ahhhhhh, no. Days I don't bathe while out in the country hunting or fishing without scolds like you spouting off about perceived insults.
Think before you post: If I was the smoking police, I'd use no subtlety whatsoever.
Now light one up and chill out, comrade.

Z-plus and Thunderbird make drop in butane inserts for Zippo - they can be refilled.
Just me say’n, the times have changed....

The torch lighters are nice, but they break so easily.
zippos dont hold up well either. i'm around 2 dozen, and half of them have ceased to work for various reasons. i probably should start sending them in for service, but i've acquired so many haven't needed to.
BTW- the reason for so many zippos- every friend who's shipped over seas hands me a zippo. every time i light a cigarette, i say a little prayer for them. every one has come back unharmed.

Ouch-had that happen a few times after overfilling.
I quite smoking about 5 years ago but I still have a bunch of Zippos from the ships I was on and others I traded for. Some are still new in the box others were daily users and have a lot of wear.
