Are you sure the lid switch is functioning correctly? Dells are kinda goofy that way.Yeah, checked that out, then removed the inverter board
and inspected visually with X10 magnifier glasses and can see the transformer on the board has a burnt section (HV end).

Bought a replacement screen for one of my kids acers from E-Bay Member id laptopscreen1 it worked great and arrived very quickly a search on their site for your stated p/n returned no matches but they are worth a look
