I’m wondering if it was a dry run for an invasion while the CINC is out of the country. He could be effectively marginalized and kept OUT of the country (boy am I conflicted about that) or he may choose to let the invasion happen. It is awfully coincedental. The wifey and kids have “just now” decided to join him out of the country.
