Amen. Will Smith and the sad sack who played the President both pulled that film down (or rather, it succeeded despite them)
You know your film is in trouble if Jeff Goldblum is the best guy on screen.
Good to see Adam Baldwin in the movie though.

Casting Will Smith as the star in Independence Day ruined what had the potential to be a really great movie.I didn't see it for Smith. It was a good, fun movie. To me, the whole cast brought it together and Smith's role could have been played by just about anyone.
