Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.
Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.
Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.
The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.
As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.
So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.
The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

Hey, let’s crash the NASCAR and Football threads and trash them!
Good post. Also, for further evidence, here's a video interview Bristol and Mark gave to ET during their jive rehearsal for this week. Towards the beginning of the clip, Mark explains that the show has yet to reveal who is in the bottom two vote-getters, so there's no way to know. As he says in the clip, they've only been saved for last to get their results. ET Clip of Bristol and Mark
Bristol has to compete against Jennifer Grey of 'Dirty Dancing.'

You’re welcome!!!

Could be. I liked the audience member who said last week the judges must be democrats. Which of course is true. She is good for just starting. I don’t have the rhythm to do the moves she can do. Genetically challenged, my other family members can.
Okay, where are those professing Christians who previously (was it during a previous level of dance competition?) who were defending dancing, ballroom dancing, and even CHURCH/religious dancing in its modern form?
Please Christians, who will defend this half-naked, sensual, sexually suggestive (and intended to be so) hands on, laying body parts across body parts dancing?
I am wondering if this is taking place in churches, too?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRISTOL!
Here! Comments were fairly nice regarding her musicality and lightness on feet....Not comfortable at performing in front of all the people.
For one thing she has EXTREME CONFIDENCE! Otherwise she would be nipping and tucking or starving it off. It is a touch of “baby marbling”. A little fluffy ....
Yes, yes, that would be so fun!! Or, that poetry one that's also been back here in the chat section (where we are) for as long as I've been a FReeper.
