Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.
Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.
Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.
The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.
As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.
So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.
The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

I would enjoy seeing Bristol dance with Derek.
Nobody else has an 18...., do they?
Someone else got a 5 in the score.
I have been distracted all night, waiting for Bristol.
Who picks the music for each couple? Is it assigned to them or do they have a choice?
I mean... Making someone dance to the Monkees theme song??? Good grief.
It is not a serious competition show...like say, “So You Think You Can Dance”, or even “American Idol”.
It is totally and completely silly dancing fun, a good way to lose weight and learn how to dance.
For evidence...just look the plastic “trophy” they give the winner! LOL
LOL......Dancing to “Love and Marriage”....should have dressed up like Peg And AL Bundy.....
no
Kyle got a 5 from Len on the hot mess Charlie Angels dance.
Bristol is in the bottom.
Do you know who besides Bristol is in the bottom 2? I think they are putting Bristol in the bottom two always on purpose so that it builds up suspense for the show on Tuesday
I loved Jennifer and Derek’s dance. The judges didn’t seem impressed.
Yes, I have watched it. Bristol was not good in that dance.
If you think so, put someone else in that monkey suit dancing that way and you might realize that it was a bad dance.
She wasn’t as bad as The Hoff..but she was bad.
She tried her best and she did try so hard to project animation that her feet failed a couple of times.
I think she did fine for someone very new at this, but this is like the playoffs. She needed better than triple six.
I hope she comes back, but I am not confident.
I thought that the Gorilla costumes were too cumbersome, and it hurt their performance.
I did all my calling already.
Me too, but I liked them most of them tonight...not Flos or Audrina’s (prob that “Hills” music, lol)
Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas 800-868-3407
I just went to get my husband’s phone. No other phones left in the house...:)
Probably Disney kid...and I doubt he goes home yet.
If I remember the scoring correctly Kyle will be in the bottom 2. He may have one more point than Bristol.
Mark has never been a great choreographer in past years, IMHO and they keep dressing Bristol in strange costumes... why does she have to be matronly when she is a 20-year-old girl and this is ballroom dancing?
I’ve been watching the show, ‘Castle,’ that comes on after DWTS. It’s better than thinking about Obama...
I think she would have done much better with another dance partner.
I agree. Bristol deserved to have better routines and costumes.
Already said as much in my post above, certainly not worth fighting or being upset about.
Good grief.
