Copied from a discussion at tngunowners.com:
Has anyone else heard the ad put out by the Lincoln Davis campaign slamming Scott DesJarials? In it Davis is portraying Scott as quite a troublemaker, having run ins with the law and even "firing a unloaded gun." I don't know much about either of these guys. They aren't in my district but if Scott has discoved a way to fire a gun without bullets I think he is the kind of genius we need in government. Maybe he can invent a way to run the gov. without taking any of our money.

Lincoln Davis is my Congresscritter and having spoken directly with him on several occasions I can truthfully say he is a glittering gem of colossal ignorance. In way, way over his head. I've had several public exchanges with him, all of which left him speechless and unable to respond to a simple, direct question: Why did you vote to put your own kids and grand kids a trillion dollars in debt? He voted for TARP and Porkulous, and once actually publicly suggested nuking Iraq. Only under tremendous pressure from voters in the 4th District did he decided at the last minute to not vote for Obamalamadingdong-care, but is on record publicly stating that he supports single payer gubmint controlled health care.
Desjarlais I have not met, but a neighbor of mine, an MD, knows him well. I have been told he's stubborn, bordering on a$$hole, and principled. Sounds perfect to represent me in Congress. He'll get my vote....
