"I have stage 4 cancer and I'm dying."
With those brave words, ELIZABETH EDWARDS acknowledged for the first time that she is losing her battle with advanced breast cancer.
In a dramatic public statement to a luncheon audience on Oct. 7, courageous Elizabeth confirmed a recent ENQUIRER article that her treatments have not been successful.
"The outlook for me is pretty dim unless there are great breakthroughs," said the 61-year-old estranged wife of disgraced presidential candidate John Edwards.
In The ENQUIRER issue that went on sale Sept. 23, we reported that Elizabeth appeared to be "losing her brave battle" and seemed to have lost at least 20 pounds in recent weeks.
Elizabeth revealed she'd been forced to undergo a new round of chemotherapy and spent five hours at the hospital the previous day.
"I'm done," she said.

This woman still needs to get rid of the idols of her heart, and find Christ. If she will somehow do that the rest of it won’t matter.
I don’t wish that stuff on anyone. Hope her kids get through all the crap her husband put them through.
Let’s pray for her and wish for the best. We all make blunders in this life. May she trust the Lord and He guide her to her home beyond.
“A loving spouse would be by her side to love and assist through this transition but in this case, I guess not...”
According to Andrew Young, they are both extremely malevolent people.
Are you sure the NE has ever given Liz their “Sad Last Days” treatment? Those are usually the key words. I first realized how prescient they were when they gave The Duke the “Sad Last Days” treatment about 30 years ago. Now, whenever I see those words on the cover of NE, smell the embalming fluid.
It puts a face on a problem many privately deal with everyday. When very public figures reveal they have a serious medical challenge, it often leads to a foundation to fund research. That's my answer to your question.
I’ve said some harsh things about Elizabeth and her complicity in her husbands ascendance in politics, but I never wanted this.
Prayers for Elizabeth and her family.
Tough for children to lose their mother.
That’s too bad.
Oh well, back to football.
How many women is this woman?
That is interesting. Is it available in Canada?
“How many women is this woman? “
Hmmm. I thought the Spelling Nazi would at least take Sunday off....Oh well, back to football.
I thought folks who don't know the difference between "women" and "woman" would take Sunday off.
Rough old world for everyone.
..if it's not available, it should be!
It's time evil corpo types had to play on a level playing field like the rest of us.
We used to tar & feather people like that and run them out of town on a rail,
many old fashioned remedies need to be brought back,
they work.
I actually haven't finished watching the youtube video about it so I'm going back now.
I'm just at the point where the guys dad was sent home to die and now he's fine because of the hemp oil.
I’m pretty sure it’s been done a couple of times. I’m 47, and I can’t remember one time in the past 35 years that I heard about Liz’s health in anything other than negative terms.
Even Elizabeth Edwards does not deserve what she’s had to endure in her last days.
The outing of the sorry piece of trash husband, even tho she probably knew what he was and then the cancer.
I pity those children too. With all she went through to get them and now this. Also the loss of the other child.
If she’s sinned, she’s certainly paid for it, and so many others haven’t.
I hope this woman knows God. And I pray for a miracle. If there is none, I pray that she rest in peace.
