Felt it here at our plant just south of downtown. Thought it was a plane but it got stronger and kept rumbling. My next thought was another big explosion.

New Madrid area (ne AR/se MO) has been experiencing numerous tremors in the 3.0 range.
nw AR had a couple of small tremors a few weeks ago.
A whole lot of shaking going on.

Rattled our building here in Tulsa. I felt it in Tulsa too. Work over near 46th Street North and Mingo, and feel shakes now and then when the quarry nearby sets off charges, but this rattle lasted longer and felt different than the quarry blasts. Interesting.

Years ago I was on the I-55 bridge leading into Memphis, east bound for Tunica. Even the semi traffic was shaking the old bridge. And about 20 klics N is New Madrid epic center. Needless to say, a bad place to be.
If it blows, the old RR bridge will drop faster than Kim Kardasian.

Work over near 46th Street North and Mingo,... How can you tell?
I heard American Airlines doing their engine run-ups about that time.
Then again, I have never experienced a quake...

We got a good rattle here in SW Mobile at 8:48AM this morning but, that was probably seismic activity from the oil drillers.
I was in Grand Bay this morning on business. Didn't feel a thing..LOL

"I was in Grand Bay this morning on business. Didn't feel a thing..LOL " I'm at Fowl River and it rattled my windows...so much so that I deliberately noted the exact time.

Yep. A good couple of secs worth of solid shake...with a muffled boom/sound component, here close to PC North High.
Freaked the dogs, and the fact that it was just after 9 AM, made me first panic it was a reprise of the Murray Bldg.Bombing. Not a pleasant feeling.

Why do you say that? Central OK had a 5.5 back in the early 50's. It was an earthquake...so...yes...I think so.No, I'm sorry. That's just not so.

Sad to say I had exactly the same thought.

I live a few miles from the epicenter. I have been in California during earthquakes. This was definately an earthquake. Believe it.
