Private school homecoming party gets way out of hand. Parents arrested
Being the cool parents at a ritzy private high school has come at a cost for one South Florida couple.
Shlomo Steve and Jeannie Rasabi were arrested over the weekend for throwing the homecoming party of the decade for their teenage sons and about 500 of their closest Facebook and Myspace friends.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the Rasabis stayed in their room in their Boca Raton estate as the kids went wild with the liquor cabinet.
When police arrived after receiving phone calls about a loud party, they found teens passed out in the front lawn of the $7.5 million estate and dozens of other teens vomiting in the streets. Paramedics had to be called to treat some of the under-aged drinkers.
Cops also found kegs of beer stationed conveniently outside the home.
When cops went looking for the Rasabis, they were locked in the master bedroom of the home. When asked about the under-aged drinking, Steve Rasabi replied, "I didnt even know all these kids were here. They all brought alcohol into the house.
Apparently, the loud music and sounds of teens upchucking in unison didn't penetrate the bedroom walls. The Rasabis also claimed their party was really the after party to another party and that the kids must have got drunk there and not at their home, according to the police report.
Most of the teens at the party attended American Heritage, an elite private school in Broward County. The school's homecoming was Saturday and the party guests were brought to the house by chartered bus. Wonder who paid for that?
The Rasabis are charged with allowing minors to drink at an open party. Six other teens were arrested that night, ensuring that this will be a homecoming few will ever forget.

The odds are good that the parents voted for Obamalini.
I never had this problem. We never got caught (and I had a core group of friends looking out for me).
Pretty tame compared to my parties, but then again, kids aren’t at mine.
People have lost all judgement and good sense.
Probably trust fund babies. My SIL lives in Venice, Florida where one encounters a lot of these. They are known for their sense of entitlement and their very, very poor judgment.
Eh, There were always big parties after football games in high school. There was always liquor there. Usually pot somewhere. Occasionally sex in hiding places.
No parents around.
This is probably just a routine case for CPS. The kids can spend Christmas in a FEMA camp
Rasabi sounds so similar to wahabi.
Well at least the party was limited to a very select group.
Oh, come on. Can’t you tell this is an audition for an MTV “reality show”?
This must be the new "thing to do" in Ft. Lauderdale.

What a bunch of lightweights.
'"We're shocked, shocked to find that drinking is going on in here!" said the parents.'
They were still arrested, though. Doctors, both, working at Harvard Medical School.
Odds are very good that they voted for the Bamster as well.
The USSA is beyond pathetic.
500 kids & no security?
These people never read “Lord of the Flies”.
It may have been a vomiting contest of some sort.
I grew up in Miami Beach and this was a normal thing, parties anyways, and we did enjoy ourselves. My friend always threw a kegger on the beach for his birthday since he was 16. We drank, threw up and got raided every year but it was wonderful. $2 all you can drink cup to make back the money and some profit and a marking of sorts to show you paid. He called it, after that movie, everyone gets laid (I think the movies name is PCU). Point being, we had fun, learned hard lessons and we are all fine. The parents should have just left for the weekend and let the kinds fall a couple of times. We all did. Can’t be any worse then what kids do in the ghetto.
but to have a dtr in that enviroment......
