Six weeks into the college football season and one week before the first Bowl Championship Series standings are released, there are 13 unbeaten teams in all three polls.
So who'd be the BCS' No. 1 if the standings came out today? Would it be consensus No. 1 Ohio State, the top team in The Associated Press, USA Today and Harris polls? Or maybe fellow unbeaten Oregon, ranked No. 2 and earning first-place votes in all three polls?
According to the projection of ESPN's Brad Edwards, it's consensus No. 3 Boise State.
According to the projections, the No. 1 Buckeyes would place fifth in the BCS standings, percentage points behind Oklahoma.
1. Boise State .913
2. Oregon .863
3. TCU .854
4. Oklahoma .8425
5. Ohio State .8421
6. LSU .782
7. Nebraska .777
8. Auburn .744
9. Michigan State .642
10. Alabama .634
Edwards projects the unbeaten Broncos, the highest-ranked team from a non-automatic qualifying conference, as the top team in the standings by a comfortable margin, followed by Oregon.

As a big Buckeye fan, I’m fine with this early season projection. Buckeyes need to take of business and things will work out as they should.
Over—rated. (chant with me).
Yeah. Right up until Nov. 20th.
We're waiting for you!
Perhaps one thing going for THE Ohio State University is the BCS Championship Game is in Glendale AZ. Glendale, AZ is technically north of the I-10, hee hee.
That whole list will get re-shuffled in the next 4 weeks.
Were you “waiting” for us the last 6 years? (8 of the last 9 years)?
Both Wisconsin and Iowa will be tough, no argument from me there. And Iowa will be tougher than Wisconsin. But even when Ohio State should beat Wisconsin, they usually find a way to lose the game.

There is no apostrophe in “Buckeyes.”

Yep. Just don’t be “waiting” like for Arizona.
Yeah, I know. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!
Isn’t their strength of schedule probably at the best it will be as their remaining schedule plays out and isn’t that a BCS computer factor?
Some of these teams have a point, but BCS conferences were decided by the beatings they take game after game.
I almost feel sorry for Alabama (I said almost) playing teams for the next X weeks that had byes before playing them.
