I think Boise State has a great team. But, if they want to play with the top teams for a national championship, they need to schedule some top teams in their regular season. I’m sick of their tactic of trying to whine their way to the top.

I mean, come on - when BSU played #24 Oregon State, it was being touted as one of their biggest games ever... LOL In the whole history of BSU, they probably haven’t played as many games against ranked teams as my Volunteers will play this season alone.

For all I know, it’s likely that BSU could beat any college team in the nation in a championship bowl. But I also know that if they did win, it would be after NOT having spent the whole season getting beat down & injured by quality opponents. When they spend a season butting heads with top tier teams and then play a good bowl game, I’ll be glad to give them some respect. Until then, they’re just a big fish in a small pond.

Yeah, they play a weak schedule. At least next year, they’re moving up into the Mountain West. Of course, Utah is going to the Pac 10, and BYU is going independent, so it won’t be much different for Boise. Wonder if the arrival of Boise had anything to do with the departure of Utah and BYU?

I’m from Pennsylvania, so maybe I root for Boise because they remind me of Penn State. Back in the day, all Penn State did was win, but no one gave them any credit because it was crummy Eastern teams they were beating. It took them 15 years to be accepted as equal to all the other college powers.
