When I was 10 years old, my older brother got me a copy of The “Red” Album - i.e. a greatest hits compilation of the Beatles from 1962-66. I absolutely loved it! To this day, I much prefer the early Beatles’ work to the more experimental stuff that came later on. I’ll take “Ticket to Ride” and “And I Love Her” over “I am the Walrus” or “Strawberry Fields...” any day.

And don’t get me started on Revolution 9...

IMO The Carpenters rendition of “Ticket to Ride” is far, far greater than the Beatles version.
