A new internal poll conducted for Republicans shows Dino Rossi leading Sen. Patty Murray 48 percent to 42 percent, the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza reports.

The sampling of 500 likely by Fabrizio, McLaughlin and Associates was taken Sept. 26-27. The margin of error was 4.5 percent. The same poll in June had the candidates tied.

Dino! Where is that video of Dino in WA state throwing an axe at a target?

It was pretty cool. He is no girly man.

The other video with a GOP young guy in WI chopping wood and doing log rolling in a lake was awesome.

Not good enough - needs to be at least 10 to overcome the dead rising to vote rat in Seattle.

King County will go to the polls to ‘save us from Rossi’

More likely King County will find "overlooked" ballot boxes. They probably have the locations picked out already - in a car trunk, behind a file cabinet, under a table in a really really dark corner.

If we had a grassy knoll in Seattle, they'd probably plant one there too.

This is great news.

With Sharron Angle surging past Harry Reid in the latest Rasmussen poll, and Ras having Rossi ahead by 1%, I put the probability of a GOP takover at 47%.

If this poll is believable, it would move the GOP takeover probability to 69%.

Maybe Biden can energize democrats by retelling the story of how FDR as president, spoke the nation on TV in 1929 just after the stock market crash.

They aren’t the only ones that are ‘helping’.

There was another lying ad about Rossi for Patty on FNC earlier this a.m. I wrote down the name of the group that sponsored the ad: Citizens for Strength and Security Action Fund.

I just did a search on bing.com and openscrets was one of the entries. Here are the donations listed to the’Action Fund’ in 2008 and 2010.

2010:
To name a few: SEIU $800K; Communication Workers of America $400k; Democratic Governors Assoc $100k; Foundation for Patients Rights $250k

2008:
Patriot Majority $600k; SEIU $220k; UFCW $1.1M

Citizens For Strength And Security Unveiled

Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) might be curious who is funding an attack ad blaming her for job losses, especially now when she’s increasingly in danger losing her own job.

All the ad said was “Paid for by Citizens for Strength and Security.” Turns out the citizens are unions.

According to a new government filing, the group’s ad was funded by the Service Employees International Union ($220,000), the Communications Workers of America ($200,000) and the Patriot Majority Fund ($280,000). Patriot Majority itself is funded mainly by labor unions.

Patriot Majority is, like Citizens for Strength and Security, a 527 organization run by a Democratic operative with ads targeting Senate races. Why not just merge?

Rasmussen confirms this move, though he only shows a 3% lead, not 6%. Still, this is good news that should put the GOP probability of a Senate takeover close to, if not over, 50%.

Now it’s push through to the finish line PJ. Doorbelling, donating, phonebanks, signs - do what you can, for your local and state races. If Rossi wins, it will help the down ticket races!
