Thanks for posting this Shadow....

The details of this fly over my head but I was able to follow the gist of it all. What grabbed my interest lots was the section regarding the usage of IP banning for trolls and spammers. I run a public forum dealing with truck stuff and we routinely use IP banning (and email, username) on folks during our due due diligence for new registrations and for spammers that do get into the approved membership.

This IP4 patch as I think of it as, is really going to foul things up in our being able to defend against spammers. Don't like the patch one bit. Nope... Awful...

I’ve always wondered what the hurry for v6 was, given how NAT can so easily be used. On about the 3rd day of my first networking class it came to mind. This guy acts as if NAT is some sort of new revelation. Besides, I like v4. I enjoy being able to easily remember addresses. Trying to commit a v6 address to memory makes my head hurt! lol
