A massive war of the words has just erupted online between Pete Bethune and members of the Sea Shepherd.
The former captain of the Ady Gil, who was arrested (and later set free on a suspended sentence) after boarding a Japanese whaling vessel, has lashed out at the group — calling them “dishonest” and “morally bankrupt”.
“I am asking that from now on, SSCS determine to act in an honest way with its volunteers, supporters and media,” he writes on his Facebook page. “SSCS does not need to lie. Saving whales, dolphins, tuna and sharks are noble causes, and the public will embrace these as worthwhile. The story does not need to be manipulated and changed in order to get public support.”
Pete then goes on to list several “Concerns” — blowing the doors wide open on many issues we’ve discussed here on the site over the past year. Let’s jump right into each one.
Concern #1: The Deliberate Scuttling of the Ady Gil
Pete says: ”After the ramming of the Ady Gil, Chuck said to me that Paul, the Admiral of the Sea Shepherd fleet, wanted me to scuttle the Ady Gil. He said there was no point in towing the boat all the way to the French base, and that it would be best if the boat was just sunk and we could get on with chasing the whalers. Later that day, Chuck and I went to the Ady Gil, and I performed the necessary tasks with Chuck observing. Ady Gil then gradually took on water, and later that night she was left to sink, while the Bob Barker moved on to pursue the fleet.”

Yes they do, they're leftists. Leftists always lie. They cheat and steal and litter, and they manipulate mommy and daddy to pick up the pieces for them.
South Park is probably the only entity that can parody the Sea Shepherds and be more outrageous than they are themselves. I have watched a couple episodes out of curiosity and to say they are total doofuses is an insult to doofuses.
This guy is the bald raving lunitic on the show, as opposed to all the rest of the raving lunitics on that show.

Paul Watson is an idiot. Pete Bethune was a likable sort of guy even to those of us who think the SS mission is liberalism on crack. The scene where Bethune related the story about SS girls smelling like chipmunks was priceless as was the scene when he set the deck afire by accident.
Watson had a guy here who might have won some people to his side. But I think his ego wouldn’t let him do it. He would rather go on and on with the same old garbage....Japanese bad, SS good. I cannot think that Animal Planet will be pleased by this turn of events from a ratings point of view.
I wonder how much Animal Planet was complicit in the false stories. They had to have known about the scuttling of the Ady Gil. They obviously knew about the bow and arrows because they showed Bethune discussing the plan in detail before the Ady Gil went to sea. And I don't think they would have believed the fake shooting story any more than the crew did, yet they played it up anyway. Discovery/ Animal Planet's credibility is going to take a big hit on this.
So they lie. They are leftists. They don’t believe they are lying. Whatever they say is True because they say it. That is leftist dogma. Reality is a mental construct and a leftist with the proper feelings creates Truth by saying something.
And around here we love exposing leftist lying, especially when it will cost them money, or it involves a Japanese court, and in this case both. Damaging the credibility of a enviro wacko television network is just a bonus.

Anybody who has seen the video can see that this moron ACCELERATED in to the path of the ship!!

Whether by negligent and incompetent Ady Gil ship ship-handling, or by way of deliberately putting it in the line of the whaler, the bat-boat was cut in two. Totally open to the sea and taking on more water as they towed it, the boat was useless.
Like with a seriously damaged warship the best option would be to scuttle if they intended to keep the other ships in action, instead of breaking off and towing.
It would seem the lie is the one we already understood. The cause of the ramming. Loss by scuttling after the collision seems like hairsplitting. Which is ironic considering the shaved head.
Of course either way, the world is a vampire.

There was a lot of puzzlement over how Animal Planet glossed over the reasoning why half the crew jumped ship between episodes, requiring them to fill deckcrew billets by pulling women out of the galley. Now we know.
Animal Planet doesn’t play fair with their viewers. Absolutely confirmed.

Actually, their flag ship is the Steve Irwin. Their previous flagship, the Farley Mowat was confiscated by the Canadians several years ago and is still in custody.
