And now a word from Apple on this development...

‘’Not an Apple approved app, I’m sorry, but he’s voided his warranty. Only Apple approved devices, software, and people are permitted to use the iPad. And yes, you can stop with the menstrual jokes now...’’

I wonder if his OS will run the i* Apps. Would be cool if the iPad had a Virtualization app that would allow you to run a Linux OS as a VM.

I do not find it that amazing that a device that runs a subset of UNIX is capable of running a Linux derivative. It should be fairly obvious that is should be able to do that. The basic problem is how did he get around the iOS kernel and iOS in firmware to get his stuff to run instead. He hacked it. Now, can it DO anything? I sincerely doubt it.

I recall the whoopla when some hackers announced they had succeeded in getting Linux to run on an iPhone... and shortly after that, another group of counter hackers announced they had succeeded in writing a virus to run on iPhone’s running linux, all less than 100 of them in the world. LOL. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should or that it means anything when you do.
