Labs are cool.
I’ve had a lab for 13 wonderful years. She’s got cancer now and has slowed down alot but she’s been the best friend of everyone in the family and welcoming of everyone whos come into our home (except my ex and she was right about her) I wouldn’t trade her for the world and I’ll be bawling my eyes out when she goes.
Glad I am not a lab....
Washington Doggie Ping!
A little too late with the spaying! That’s a lot of puppies to find homes for.
I was gonna say—what’s the point to this story without a picture?
"..at least she's married"
We have a wonderful black lab/Golden retriever mix. Looks a lot like the dogs at the links. Sweet dog.

The daddy is a yellow-factored Black Lab with no chocolate factor (BBEe).
That gives you the 50/50 yellow and black pups, with no chocolates. I could sit down and figure out the percentage of chocolate factors and yellow factors in the pups, but hopefully they're going to spay or neuter them all . . .
“Despite being a chocolate lab, Sugar did not give birth to any brown dogs.”
Are they sure they’re hers? :)
The Doggie Ping list is for FReepers who would like to be notified of threads relating to all things canid. If you would like to join the Doggie Ping Pack (or be unleashed from it), FReemail me.
Well, that just lends credence to the old myth that Chocolate Labs are dumb!
OK, back off all you Choc Lab doggie parents. I'm just kidding. I love Choc labs. My neighbor's was named Hershey. Sweet dog, but she died young. Cancer.
That’s why they call them Labrador Deceivers. :)
Our Black Lab had a litter of 11 on September 3rd - 7 survived. There are 5 Black and two yellow - 4 are males and three females (yellow = one male/one female). The male yellow appears to have something wrong with his hips, but is starting to walk much better of late. Now we need to have our female spayed so she doesn’t have another litter.
He was my best friend.
one of our black labs had 9 blacks, 2 yellows and 1 chocolate puppies.
our yellow lab had 5 blacks and 2 chocolates
with lbas, you never know if they’ll be blacks, yellows or chocolate
1. Black
2. Yellow
3. Chocolate
There is a reason you rarely ever see a chocolate lab as a service dog. This information comes directly from some friends who work and train service dogs.
WOW. They sure are lucky she had her encounter with another lab. They can actually sell the pups for something.
The dog on the left looks exactly like Bubba.
