Aim lower next time. "Practicing medicine without a license" for conducting an unauthorized bris on an unwelcome guest in the daughter's bedroom? I'd happily pay the fine for that civil offense!

Agreed, but you can't shoot them when they don't listen. The shooters error here was in not following the "Three S" rule.

There seems to be a teen birth thing going on in that there family. Mom seems to have chosen an interesting technique for daughter not following the pattern.

I always thought that was standard procedure in LA. I bet she did aggravate him

I suspect there's more to the story.
Louisiana has a new "castle doctrine" law "granting civil immunity to crime victims who lawfully use force up to and including deadly force to protect themselves against a violent attack."
Given that this woman was jailed, I suspect that there was no "violent attack" involved on the part of the boyfriend -- probably more an argument, or even no words exchanged at all.

Seems like “Hot in the tail” runs in this family.

Almost no details to go on.Here is a new article, says he argued with her. Also says she had previously forbidden him from being there without her present. I say she was a good momma.

I’m amazed at the number of posters at the source condemning the woman for her actions.

"Im amazed at the number of posters at the source condemning the woman for her actions."I had the same reaction. Also am betting they would be the first to argue a woman's right to kill her baby. Just don't kill a kid with a gun who is trying to make that 'fetus'.

What jury wouldn’t cut you some slack though? It’s 1:30am and you find this person in your daughter’s bedroom...
And the guy didn’t die.

“Why cant you shoot a stranger in your daughters bedroom at 1:30 in the morning...?”
I suspect she talked herself into being arrested.
She could have simply stated she was acting to prevent or stop a rape and shut up.
Because that is what the threat or act was... statutory rape.
End of story.
