Eric Johnson - are you experienced
You're beautiful.
Love this thread. No one has a lukewarm opinion. Am I wrong or is Carlos Santana missing on the list?
LOL...the pre-fab four!
Nice. That’s why I love the Internet. You can find Johnny Nonames who can make the angels weep with their virtuosity.
Listen to Dave Mason’s 1974 album “Dave Mason.” He’s playing an electric guitar on the song.
Yup. Santana was my initial glaring omission. Also Rush, Skunk Baxter (Doobies, Steely Dan-BODHISATTVA!), Edgar Winter, the Edge, Brian Setzer...
Blues, rock, you name it, the guy could play.
Did he play lot's of bluesy stuff...Yeah. Did he have to? No.
Neither did SRV...fwiw-
Yep. A Gibson SG. Appears to be an early Angus Young Signature model like the one below but it's hard to tell without a clear shot of the headstock.
Nice playing! Cute legs!
I doubt the Edge would qualify in this list, I know of no solo work from him that could be defined as great.
agreed.
Where's Buck Dharma on the list? No where
Alex Lifeson?
It doesn’t appear that he made the list.
Rory Gallagher...wasn’t half bad.
He needed more cowbell.
Ever listen to Zakk Wylde do a version of that?
